Welcome to the Basler Lawn Tennis Club (BLTC)

In the lush green Margarethenpark in the Gundeldingen district, popularly known as “Gundeli”, there are eight immaculately maintained red clay tennis courts. They are the home of our Basel Lawn Tennis Club (BLTC). Unfortunately there are no grass courts, but beautiful old trees and lawns surround the elegant English-style clubhouse with two spacious terraces and 8 clay courts (six with floodlights; two courts with all-year technology, which can be used almost all year round). The club also has the restaurant “Max”, which is open all year round and serves creative, fresh, Mediterranean cuisine in addition to the popular brunches.

Founded in 1907, the BLTC has a long tradition. Today, we have a vibrant community members of all ages who play tennis for fun, as fitness training or in competition. More than 15 teams of all ages compete in the Swiss Interclub Championship. The BLTC also organizes a range of activities and tournaments for all ages and ability levels.

Our Club is easily accessible by public transport and is just a few minutes' walk from the SBB main train station. There is also street parking around the club.

Guests welcome

Non-members are also welcome to play for a fee on the BLTC courts during specific timesolts during the day.

Tennis School Vito Gugolz

You can take tennis lessons at the Vito Gugolz Tennis School on the BLTC courts.
